Icon Cancer Centre at BIH provides radiation therapy to treat a wide range of cancers as well as for palliative care. Cancers that can be treated at Icon includes brain, head and neck, lung, breast, prostate, and cervical cancers.
Benefits of External Beam Radiotherapy (Varian TrueBeam)
Features advanced techniques such as IMRT, VMAT, SRS, and SBRT to deliver precise radiation therapy, making it more effective for treating small, complex, or hard-to-reach tumours.
The system delivers radiation with sub-millimetre accuracy, targeting the tumour while minimising radiation exposure to the surrounding healthy organs and tissues.
The high-speed radiation delivery shortens treatment sessions, improving patient comfort and increasing overall treatment efficiency.
With a fully digital and integrated real-time 3D imaging and a 6 directional positioning system, this ensures that each patient is perfectly aligned before treatment begins, improving precision and safety.
